Graham Roberts has given his verdict on Twitter to the latest reports surrounding Harry Kane and a potential Tottenham exit to Manchester City. Kane remains a target and new reports state that City will not return for Kane next summer. Roberts has posted a 10-word verdict on Twitter.
Kane, 28, was absent not only from the squad on Sunday – but from the Tottenham Hotspur stadium altogether. Nuno Espirito Santo got off to the best possible start, overseeing a 1-0 win for Spurs over Kane’s potential new side in Manchester City. Son Heung-min scored the only goal of the game.
Now, Kane is in the Tottenham squad to face Pacos de Ferreira in Portugal on Thursday. The Mail say Manchester City will not return next summer to sign Kane, if they fail to get him now. Roberts has reacted, posting a brutal 10-word verdict on Twitter.
Roberts on Kane: Same obstacle remains, Tottenham play hardball
Was anyone surprised? At the start of the window, pundits and fans who knew the way in which Daniel Levy operates stated that unless he gets what he wants – Kane would be going nowhere. Now, we are fortnight away from the deadline and Kane remains a Tottenham player – more than ever.
Glenn Hoddle reckons a deal could be done by the end of the week. But Levy wants £150million and unless he gets anything close to that, he will not sell Kane. City need to back down and pay the fee – or they will miss out on the Tottenham star. Sunday proved that City need Kane, badly.
