Graham Roberts has taken to Twitter to hit back at criticism coming Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s way following his Tottenham Hotspur debut at the weekend.
Jose Mourinho’s side endured a disappointing start to the campaign. They were beaten 1-0 at home by Everton on Sunday.
Jordan Pickford had to make some important saves during the game. But it was not a good performance from Tottenham. And one of the players who appears to have come in for the most criticism is Hojbjerg.
The Dane certainly struggled. He was completely overshadowed by Toffees debutant Allan. Nevertheless, Roberts felt compelled to respond to a talkSPORT video showing Jamie O’Hara expressing his frustration towards his former club.
Roberts suggested it was unfair to write off Hojbjerg after his debut…
Would it not be fair to give hjoberg more than 1 game ?

It is reasonable to suggest that Hojbjerg was poor. But it is probably fair to say that no-one would have needed to tell the former Southampton man that he struggled.
But as Roberts notes, it would be ridiculous to suggest that he cannot prove to be a good signing over the coming months.
Few Spurs players could walk off the pitch content with their performance at the weekend. But you can guarantee that Hojbjerg will amongst those desperate to make amends at the next available opportunity.
