Arsenal are still very much in the Premier League title race, but their form over the last few weeks hasn’t been ideal.
The Gunners have won just three of their last six games in the Premier League, and against both Leicester and Southampton, they were pushed to their limits.
This isn’t an Arsenal team that looks unbeatable at the moment, and Mikel Arteta’s side do seem to have some clear flaws.
Speaking on the Planet Premier League Podcast, Graham Potter has been discussing Arsenal’s recent wobbles, and he says that for the first time in a long time, he’s noticing a bit of instability in this Arsenal side.

Arsenal look unstable
Potter shared his verdict on this Arsenal team and their current situation.
The pundit says that he’s noticing a bit of instability within the Arsenal team for the first time in a while due to the number of players who are unavailable and new players who are having to come into the team.
“So a couple of little errors there that stopped them keeping where they are in the game. The interesting thing with Arsenal, I think, is probably for the first time in a long time, is there’s a little bit of instability, and just from those players that you talked about, who’ve been out, I think, previously, you could almost name the start at 11. There’s a bit of fluidity, there’s a bit of everybody knows each other, partnerships all over the pitch, you know, Saka, Odegaard, all that sort of stuff,” Potter said.
“And now they’re able to find those again, Sterling, Moreno, different relationships. So it’ll be interesting to see how they navigate that, I think.”
Arsenal could lose the title
Potter is right, Arsenal don’t look stable right now, and as drastic as it sounds, these sorts of runs can cost you a league title.
Arsenal were two points away from being champions last season, and they lost the league due to two poor results against West Ham and Fulham around the festive period.
The Gunners have already dropped points against Brighton and Bournemouth this season, and a tough game against Liverpool this weekend could extend what is becoming quite a tough run for the north London club.
Jamie O’Hara has already tipped Arsenal to drop points against Liverpool.
Of course, this isn’t necessarily anybody’s fault. Injuries to the likes of Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard are uncontrollable, while William Saliba’s recent suspension is yet another added issue.
Arsenal were tipped to win the league at the start of the season, but if they don’t get back on track soon, their title hopes could fade.
