Who are the best wingers in world football right now?

Well, there are a number of incredible wide players in the game at the moment who would be viable options.

The likes of Phil Foden and Bukayo Saka are in incredible form right now, while Mohamed Salah and Vincius Jr have been doing it at the top level for quite some time now.

However, according to Carlton Cole, one of the best wingers in the world right now is currently at West Ham.

Speaking to ESPN on TikTok, Cole was asked to name the three best wingers on the planet, and while he snubbed the likes of Salah and Vinicius Jr, he did pick Mohammed Kudus.

Mohammed Kudus one of the best wingers in the world

Cole shared his verdict on the £38m man.

“Who are the three best wingers in the world right now?” Cole was asked.

“Phil Foden, I don’t know if he counts, Bukayo Saka and then Kudus, I’ve got to go with Kudus,” Cole said.

Incredible player

We think Cole’s West Ham bias may well be playing a part in this answer, but don’t let that take away from the fact that Kudus is indeed an incredible player.

Is he one of the best in the world? Probably not, he’s not playing Champions League football right now, nor is he scoring goals at the same rate as some of his peers, but he is a massive talent who appears to be getting better and better all the time.

West Ham have a genuine star on their hands here, and with the right coaching and in the right system, Kudus could be one of the best in the world one day.

That £38m fee West Ham paid in the summer already looks like an absolute bargain.
