‘Got to do better’: Sky pundit says 22-year-old Nottingham Forest man just kept giving the ball away today

Clinton Morrison says Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White just kept giving the ball away today on Sky Sports

Steve Cooper’s men fell to a heavy 5-0 defeat at the Emirates after going into half-time just one goal down.

Arsenal went through the gears at the beginning of the second-half and scored three goals before the hour mark.

It was a disappointing afternoon for Cooper and his side after picking up a huge win over Liverpool last weekend.

And Morrison criticised Gibbs-White for continuously giving the ball away in the first-half.

Gibbs-White kept giving the ball away

Speaking on Soccer Sunday on Sky Sports today, Morrison claims the 22-year-old gave the ball away far too often today.

“Gibbs-White has got to do better. Lost the ball again,” Morrison said.

“He’s losing the ball too much, Gibbs-White. He’s just done well there to be fair, he’s won it back from [Takehiro] Tomiyasu.

“But he’s the one player you look and they’ve paid a lot of money for him.”

Gibbs-White arrived at the City Ground for £42.5 million over the summer after making the switch from Wolves (Sky Sports).

The Englishman has struggled to adapt to Premier League football so far after a decent campaign with Sheffield United in the Championship last season.

The former Wolves midfielder has managed just two assists for Cooper’s men but has shown glimpses of promise.

Forest shouldn’t be too downhearted about the loss today as they travelled to arguably the best team in the league on current form.

Cooper will be hoping his players can bounce back and take encouragement from a really promising display against Liverpool last weekend.
