Liverpool fans have now received an update from the AXA Training Centre regarding Mohamed Salah.

It was Sky Sports who provided the news.

So, what is the latest on Mohamed Salah at Liverpool? Let’s take a look…

Mohamed Salah latest

Well, the Egypt international is now back in training following some time out with a hamstring injury.

Salah missed Liverpool’s Premier League clashes against Bournemouth, Chelsea, Arsenal and Burnley due to the Africa Cup of Nations, which is where he damaged his hamstring.

The Liverpool No.11 then returned – probably too soon – as a substitute against Brentford, scoring and assisting in the 4-1 win, but also suffered a setback which ruled him out of Premier League victories over Luton and Nottingham Forest, as well as the Carabao Cup win against Chelsea.

Now – however – Salah is back in training.

A reporter for Sky Sports said live from the AXA Training Centre: “Well – if you’re a Liverpool fan – I’ve got brilliant news for you. Mo Salah is back in training and he has just come out with all the other players, warming up at the moment and going through his paces. Big news.”

Big news indeed.

Liverpool have just about coped in Salah’s absence thanks to the emergence of some diamonds such as Jayden Danns and Lewis Koumas.

However, the business end to the season is now upon us with a potential Premier League title decider against Manchester City on Sunday, so the Egyptian is returning at just the right time.

Liverpool must be careful

Liverpool are far from a one man team.

Having said that, the Reds would be nowhere near the top of the Premier League without Salah’s 15 goals and nine assists, so it is imperative that Jurgen Klopp does not rush his talisman back.

If the 31-year-old ends up suffering another setback, it could put a serious dent in Liverpool’s title hopes.
