Tottenham Hotspur fans enjoyed seeing both Aaron Lennon and Andros Townsend embrace at the end of Everton’s match against Burnley last night.

Friends reunited

There was once a time when Townsend and Lennon were starting down the flanks for Tottenham.

Their careers have now taken them away from Spurs and elsewhere.

But at full time last night there was a chance for the two old friends to catch up again.

Townsend celebrates

Townsend may have been the happier of the pair at full-time last night, as he scored a brilliant goal in Everton’s 3-1 victory.

Townsend spent 16 years at Tottenham after coming through their academy, before eventually leaving in 2016.

Lennon also was a loyal servant of the Lilywhites, after playing for them for a decade between 2005 and 2015.
