Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney is aiming to resume full training later this week, the Gunners have confirmed.
The 23-year-old was named in Mikel Arteta’s starting XI for Arsenal’s Premier League meeting with West Ham on Saturday.
However, he was withdrawn at the last minute due to muscular discomfort and replaced by Sead Kolasinac as the Gunners ran out 2-1 winners at the Emirates Stadium.

Given Tierney’s injury issues in his maiden Arsenal season, there was concern amongst Gunners fans over the left-back’s fitness.
Arteta sought to allay fears after the game by telling the Arsenal media team that his player was “fine” and now the Gunners have confirmed he’s settling well and aiming to be back soon.
Many Arsenal fans were pleased with the update and hoped Tierney would be back for the Liverpool game next Monday:
Tierney joined Arsenal last summer from Celtic in a reported £25million deal, arriving at the Emirates Stadium to much fanfare given his heroics for the Scottish Premiership team.
However, the Scotland international – who was nursing a hip problem when he joined the Gunners – made just 12 senior appearances prior to the suspension of English football.
Tierney put his prior woes firmly behind him after the restart, featuring in every game and becoming one of the first names on Arteta’s teamsheet, either at left wing-back or centre-back.
