'Good': Some Arsenal fans happy with 'great' early team news before West Brom clash
Arsenal fans are pleased that Mikel Arteta intends to take the League Cup seriously this year.
Taking things seriously
The Daily Mail say that Arsenal are set to name a strong team against West Bromwich Albion tomorrow evening, as they look to progress.
Arsenal have typically played their most promising youngsters in the League Cup.
However, it seems this year that the Gunners will be taking no risks in the competition.
That may be out of necessity – given their poor start to the season.
But Arsenal fans are pleased to hear that Arteta is planning to put out his first-team in an attempt to ensure his side progresses.
Defeat a disaster
A defeat for Arteta tomorrow would really see the pressure ramp up on him.
Arsenal have lost their opening two Premier League games, and while there have been some mitigating circumstances due to injury, a defeat against Championship opposition would really not reflect well on the Spaniard.
The Telegraph have already suggested that Arteta could face the chop if things don’t improve over the next five games.
And if Arsenal were to lose tomorrow it would be another damaging blow to morale around the Emirates Stadium.
