Conor Bradley is the name on every Liverpool’s fans lips right now.

The young right-back has really burst onto the scene for Liverpool over the past few weeks, and it’s hard to be anything but astonished by this young man’s performance.

The right-back seemingly has it all. Not only is he an incredible defender, he’s been among the goals and the assists as of late.

Speaking on Liverpool’s official YouTube channel, Ray Houghton has been discussing Bradley’s recent performances, and he’s noted one thing about Bradley that has really stunned him – his ability in the air.

Houghton praises Bradley’s aerial ability

Houghton spoke about the 20-year-old.

“You have to have belief in players to give them an opportunity and then it’s up to you to take it and that’s exactly what Conor has done in the games I’ve seen him. He gets forward well, but it’s his defending. He defends that back post really well, any crosses that come in, he has a decent height about him and a good leap, he’s a different type to Trent,” Houghton said.

Vital

Aerial ability isn’t necessarily something you think about when judging a full-back, but it is a vital attribute.

We saw so many times last season how vulnerable Trent Alexander-Arnold was in that spot – Aleksandar Mitrovic’s goal on the opening day set the tone on that front, but now, with Bradley in that role, Liverpool are much stronger.

Of course, there are numerous ways to look at this Alexander-Arnold vs Bradley debate, and in many areas Alexander-Arnold is the better player, but when it comes to defending crosses at the back post, Bradley does have the edge, despite standing at just 5 ft 11.

Liverpool are incredibly lucky to have both of these players at right-back, that’s for sure.
