Rangers are keen on bringing Watford goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann to Ibrox this summer, according to the Daily Star.
The 24-year-old goalkeeper is currently out on loan at Kilmarnock and his performances there have reportedly impressed Steven Gerrard, who wants to bring him back to Scotland once his temporary spell is over.
But Bachmann has made it clear his intention is to establish himself in the English top flight, saying: “Rangers have made contact with my English agents. It is pleasing that people have taken notice of my performances.
“From June, I will be a Watford player once more and I want to make my name in the Premier League.”

Heurelho Gomes is retiring at Vicarage Road at the end of the season, so the number two spot that Bachmann would likely be filling at Rangers is also set to come free with the Hornets.
On top of that, Ben Foster – who has had an impressive season – is also approaching the twilight of his career, meaning that if Bachmann can prove to Javi Gracia what he can do, he could soon get his wish of becoming an established Premier League goalkeeper.
Of course, Gerrard may be able to make Bachmann his number one within a season, with Allan McGregor no spring chicken either, but Gomes stepping aside may complicate his pursuit of a player who has made no secret of his desire to make a name for himself in England.
