Alasdair Gold has told his YouTube channel that there is a growing confidence that Tottenham Hotspur may be able to sign Filip Kostic this summer, with both Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici admirers of the player.

Tottenham are gearing up for what looks set to be a very busy summer. Fraser Forster looks set to be the club’s first addition. And they are working on further deals.

Reports have claimed that Tottenham plan to make a move for Kostic. The 29-year-old has enjoyed an amazing year with Eintracht Frankfurt, helping the Bundesliga side win the Europa League.

His contract expires at the end of next season. And he has just enjoyed a campaign in which he has scored seven goals and contributed 15 assists in all competitions.

Reports have suggested that Juventus also want the Serbia international. But Gold has hinted that those working behind the scenes at Tottenham believe they could well win the race for his signature.

“He’s a player that I think Paratici and Conte both like. And obviously, the price is not going to be as high as it would have normally been,” he told his YouTube channel.

“So that’s one that they’re going to look at, they’re going to try and sign I think. There’s a lot of interest in him, but we’ll see. I think there’s a growing confidence that he might be someone that they can bring in this summer.”

Growing confidence Tottenham may sign Kostic

Kostic could be a really exciting signing for Tottenham this summer. He has been exceptional down the left flank with Frankfurt. And he could be absolutely perfect for the left wing-back role in Conte’s system.

He is an ‘outstanding‘ player at the peak of his powers. In total, he has 63 assists in 169 games in all competitions for his current club.

He is a player who could be really dangerous in the final third.

And judging by Gold’s comments, Tottenham now have real hope that they could be the ones to win the race to sign Kostic this summer.
