A number of Crystal Palace fans have taken to Twitter to praise David Omilabu’s latest display for the Eagles Under-18s.

The 18-year-old forward has been in incredible form this season, scoring a staggering 11 goals from just 13 Under-18 games.

Omilabu, who signed his first professional contract earlier this month, grabbed a brace on Tuesday to help Palace to a 2-1 victory over Chelsea in the Under-18 Premier League.

The first goal came minutes before half time as Omilabu flicked the ball over an opposition defender and volleyed goalwards, the keeper getting a hand on it but failing to keep it out.

Although Chelsea equalised through Silko Thomas in the first 10 minutes of the second half, Palace were given the chance to go ahead again from the penalty spot.

Tayo Adaramola was brought down in the Blues box and, from 12 yards out, Omilabu coolly drilled the ball into the bottom-right corner.

The result saw Palace go top of the U18 Premier League South table, three points clear of second-placed Fulham.

Given how impressive Omilabu has been, plenty of Palace fans are excited to see just what the future brings for the talented youngster.
