A number of Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to praise Greg Taylor’s display for Neil Lennon’s Hoops in their pre-season friendly on Thursday night.

Celtic got their 2020-21 programme underway with an entertaining draw against French top-flight side Nice in the Veolia Trophy.

Following a complete overhaul of the team in the second half, Patryk Klimala staked his claim for a first-team spot by scoring minutes after coming on.

The Polish striker charged onto Teddy Boulhendi’s attempted clearance before slotting into the empty net for the equaliser and final goal of the encounter.

With plenty of Celtic players getting a runout on the night, quite a few fans had good things to say about Taylor, a player who struggled for game time last season.

The 22-year-old was lively down the left-hand side, linking up well with Mohamed Elyounoussi in the opening stages, and also provided a great cross for Edouard.

His maiden season may not have been the most fruitful and there have been questions from some quarters over his suitability for Celtic, but some supporters think he’s coming good.
