Barry Lewtas’ charges opened the scoring in the sixth minute at Kingsmeadow through Owen Beck.

The left-back surged forward, got the better several defenders and rifled a ferocious effort into the far corner.

However, Bryan Fiabema equalised for the Blues four minutes before the break, slamming home George Nunn’s cutback.

Then came Musialowski’s time to shine, first netting on 52 minutes with a left-footed drive from range, then slotting home with his right foot three minutes later.

Sadly for Liverpool, they couldn’t hang on to their 3-1 lead, with Nunn and Joe Haigh making it 3-3 by the 74th minute.

And then, Lewis Hall headed home in the 95th minute to condemn the Reds to a heartbreaking 4-3 defeat.

Despite this, Liverpool fans were blown away by Musialowski’s efforts, hailing the 17-year-old on Twitter:

Musialowski joined Liverpool from Lodz last August.

He has made 32 appearances for the Reds at age level, scoring 14 goals and claiming three assists.
