Midfielder Noham Kenneh says club captain Liam Cooper told him to leave Leeds go north of the border with Hibernian.
Kenneh has just left Leeds United on a free transfer to move to the Scottish Premiership, looking to get his career going with regular football.
As per the Scotsman, Kenneh said that Cooper knows a few of his new teammates and encouraged him to go and make the move to Hibs.
Cooper is of course a Scotland international, although he has never played in that country’s domestic league himself.

Kenneh says Cooper told him to swap Leeds for Hibernian
“I’d watched the Scottish league before,” he said.
“But when Hibs were interested in me I studied the Scottish league more and the history of the club.
“When I heard the position they’re in I felt it was the right fit.
“The skipper knew some of the boys like Paul McGinn and told me it would be brilliant, to go there and to just play my game and prove myself.”

With the rumours around the futures of Raphinha and Kalvin Phillips, Kenneh’s exit may not get that much attention.
He has a chance to go and play regular football now, and that is one he has to take because young players have to make that jump.
Cooper seems to think he has made a ‘brilliant’ move and time will tell whether that is indeed the case.
