The Telegraph reports that Arteta has five games to save his job at Arsenal, otherwise it could be that Conte is targeted to come in.

Conte is currently out of work, after leaving his post at Inter Milan.

And Arsenal supporters definitely seem to feel that he could be an upgrade on Arteta, who is badly struggling at the moment.

Next up

Arsenal’s next game comes against West Bromwich Albion in the League Cup before they take on Manchester City in the league.

If they were to lose both, then the pressure would firmly ramp up on Arteta, especially with talk of potential replacements now circulating.

Conte would bring far greater experience to Arsenal if he was to join than Arteta.

He also won Serie A with Inter in his last stint, which has seen his profile rise even further.

His only spell in the Premier League to date came with Chelsea, when he delivered the title to Stamford Bridge.

The doubt over Conte though is that Arsenal’s squad is currently stacked with youngsters, when the Italian boss typically has had most of his success with more experienced players, which means he would have to adapt if he was to take over at the Emirates.
