Luke Littler is suddenly one of the biggest names in sport, and the darts star is also a massive Manchester United fan.
The 16-year-old has been an absolute sporting revelation after making the PDC World Championship Final, where he lost to Luke Humphries.
Littler’s main focus is, of course, on the oche, but away from darts, he’s a huge football fan and a supporter of Manchester United.
Speaking on Sky Sports News (4/1/23 4:40PM), the darts star got involved in a bit of football chat, and when discussing his Football Manager save with United, he was asked which player he’d most like to see the Red Devils sign in real life.
Littler says that even though United have spent huge money on Rasmus Hojlund recently, he’d go back and sign another massive striker from Serie A, urging Erik Ten Hag’s side to go and buy Victor Osimhen from Napoli.

Littler says United should sign Osimhen
The darts star spoke about the £100m striker coming to United.
“Who would you sign for real, in real life if you could? Littler was asked.
“I’ve got no idea, we’ve just signed Rasmus Hojlund for loads of money, but I’d probably go and get Osimhen from Napoli, one of the big ones,” Littler said.
Perfect
Littler has shown in recent weeks that he’s an incredible darting prodigy, but if he wants to step into the world of football, perhaps he’s got a future as a Sporting Director.
Osimhen could be exactly what Manchester United need. The Red Devils have been struggling for goals in recent weeks, and the Nigerian certainly knows where the back of the net is.
Of course, signing Osimhen won’t be easy, he’s just signed a new contract with Napoli and is being valued at £100m, but with new investment incoming from Jim Ratcliffe, perhaps United will be able to fund this sort of transfer in the near future.
