Former Spurs midfielder and England manager, Glenn Hoddle, believes Liverpool could surprise everyone and sneak into the top four this season.
Liverpool take on Manchester United this week in a crucial game. The Reds head into it after picking up a vital win against Southampton this weekend, with Sadio Mane back among the goals.

The Reds sit six points behind Leicester City in the race for fourth. They have a game in hand, too, and a win at Old Trafford is looking like a must if they are to dislodge the Foxes.
But speaking in his column for the Evening Standard, former England boss Hoddle believes the Reds can do it…with Trent Alexander-Arnold his key man.
“The rearranged Liverpool vs Manchester United game is a big game. I think Liverpool could actually sneak into the top four with their remaining fixtures so I am looking forward to that on Thursday,” Hoddle said.
“Trent Alexander-Arnold has had a bit of an indifferent season but has come into some good form recently and I feel this is a big game for him up against United.”
Liverpool will be hoping to see United see off Leicester this week and them win at Old Trafford themselves. The Reds will also be confident given United play twice in two days.
TBR View: Leicester are dipping so Hoddle might be right here
Leicester looked for all the world that they’d cement a top four spot but in recent weeks they seem to have fallen off a cliff.
The result against Newcastle this weekend was dire and showed that their bottle might just be going. West Ham also blew it yesterday, leaving the door even further ajar.
If Liverpool get that big win this week, then there’s every chance they’ll secure that Champions League spot.
