Gjanni Alioski has suggested, in comments reported by Leeds Live, that he is not thinking about securing a new contract at Leeds United, but did drop a hint as he discussed nearing a landmark appearance at Elland Road.
Alioski will make his 100th appearance for the Whites if he plays against Derby County this weekend. The 27-year-old has made 92 appearances in the Championship having been a stalwart under a number of managers.

The wide-man was asked whether he is keen to discuss a new contract ahead of bringing up his century. He insisted that he is not thinking about fresh terms, but did hint that he is hoping to reach further landmarks.
“Of course. At first I didn’t think about this, but I’m really proud. Every game I’m proud as it makes you happy. Thanks Leeds and I hope for another,” he said, as reported by Leeds Live when initially asked how proud he was about a potential 100th appearance.

“Lets talk about Derby. I’ve played 100 games, I’m happy, I’m proud and want to do another 100 [games],” he then joked, when asked about whether he wants a new contract.
TBR’s View
Alioski’s future may well be on the club’s agenda. He may have come in for criticism during his time at Elland Road, but he has been an excellent servant.
Transfermarkt shows that the North Macedonia international’s deal currently expires in 2021. So it would not be a surprise to see an announcement made in the near future.
Bielsa is clearly a huge fan of Alioski. And some fans feel that he is actually the best left-back at the club right now. With Kalvin Phillips, Liam Cooper and Stuart Dallas all signing new deals recently, Alioski penning a new contract would be another piece of good news for the supporters.
