'Give us the trophy now', 'winning the lot': Some Liverpool fans erupt over Premier League announcement

Liverpool fixtures for the 2021-22 Premier League season are out and Reds fans have been giving their thoughts.

Jurgen Klopp’s charges will get the campaign under way with a trip to newly promoted Norwich on 14 August.

Liverpool then play their first game at Anfield on 21 August, against Burnley.

August then ends with another Anfield game, against Champions League winners Chelsea on the 28th.


September sees Liverpool travel to Leeds United on the 11th, with Crystal Palace at home and Brentford away thereafter.

October begins with what could be a big title clash, with Manchester City coming to Anfield on the 2nd.

The first league Merseyside derby of the season takes place on 30 November, with Liverpool heading to Everton.

The Reds will end the 2021-22 campaign with a home match versus Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield.

Liverpool have enjoyed playing Norwich in recent years.

The Reds have scored three or more goals against the Canaries in seven of their last nine games.

Indeed, Liverpool have scored five goals on four of those occasions, as per 11v11.
