Newcastle United are in Premier League action against Arsenal on Saturday.

The Magpies, who are still searching for their first league win of the season, travel to the Emirates Stadium for a 12:30pm kickoff.

Arsenal began the season badly but rallied round to climb into the top six, though Liverpool ran out 4-0 winners against them last time out.

Newcastle now have Eddie Howe in charge, but he was forced to miss his first game in charge due to a positive covid test.

However, the Magpies have now confirmed that he has tested negative and will thus be in the dugout for the Arsenal game.

It is understood Howe has been allowed to travel under the protocol after his symptoms were traced back to last week.

This is a huge boost for Newcastle, who remain in relegation trouble and are desperate for their first victory of the league campaign.
