Liverpool fans were celebrating their victory over Spurs last night and Twitter was full of praise for experienced ‘Mr Reliable’, James Milner.

The experienced Milner was thrust into the midfield by Jurgen Klopp. He put in an outstanding display for the Reds, closing down the Spurs midfield and playing with his usual energy and enthusiasm.

With Jordan Henderson in at the back, Milner’s role was a vital one. And while the likes of Sadio Mane and Trent Alexander-Arnold lapped up the praised following the game, some Reds fans recognised how good Milner was.

Ever the professional, Milner stepped in effortlessly for Klopp. Like so many times in his career, he delivered a dependable performance that showed his class and ability at the very top level.
