Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino will have some decisions to make over his team ahead of the home match against Newcastle United on Sunday.
Spurs have four points from their opening two Premier League games against Aston Villa and Manchester City, so will be looking to continue a decent start.
But the North London club are going to be without summer recruit Tanguy Ndombele, who has completed 90 minutes in both games so far and been highly impressive.
The 22-year-old central midfielder already has one goal and one assist for Pochettino’s side.
But Spurs have confirmed (official Twitter) that Ndombele is unavailable against Newcastle with a “minor” thigh injury that he picked up in training.
His omission against Newcastle leaves a gap in the centre of the park, which is why Spurs should give another one of their new signings his chance to impress by bringing him in as a replacement.
Giovani Lo Celso should be drafted into the starting XI against Newcastle for the first time, as he could help provide the creative threat lost by teammate Ndombele.
The 23-year-old Argentine is a central midfielder that has only played a brief cameo so far off the bench against Manchester City and fans are yet to see him unleashed.
But he could run riot against Newcastle if given the chance, in a game where they should dominate the ball at home.
Lo Celso was directly involved in 22 goals for Spanish club Real Betis last season in 44 games across all competitions and provides a goal threat from midfield.
He could turn out to be an important player moving forward and there may be no better fixture to introduce him than against a Newcastle side on paper that look much weaker.
