Giorgio Chiellini was asked this week if he would join Tottenham Hotspur to play under Antonio Conte one more time.
The two Italians worked together during Conte’s time at Juventus and Italy. Chiellini played 100 times under the now-Spurs boss in Turin and won three Serie A titles and four Super Cups.

Giorgio Chiellini responds when asked if he would sign for Conte’s Tottenham
Chiellini ended his 17-year association with Juventus at the end of last season and left Turin for Los Angeles.
He plays for LAFC in the MLS now, where he has been branded as a ‘world-class defender’ by the club’s head coach, Steve Cherundolo.
Speaking in an interview this week, Chiellini was quizzed about Conte. He was asked if he would return to Europe to play for Tottenham – just so that he gets the opportunity to work under the 53-year-old again.
The legendary Italian quickly claimed that he’s too old for the Premier League now.
Chiellini said, as quoted by Il Bianconero: “Not as a player, at 36, I couldn’t do it.
“When I saw the exhausted players in South Korea during pre-season, I wrote to Paratici. It reminded me that we went through the same thing.”

TBR View:
If Chiellini had joined Tottenham in his prime, there’s a very good chance that Spurs would’ve won a few trophies.
The Italian made defending an art and his partnership alongside Leonardo Bonucci was simply spectacular for both Juventus and the Italian national team.
Chiellini doesn’t have the legs for the Premier League anymore, but he definitely has what it takes to become a coach after he hangs up his boots as a player.
If Conte is still at Tottenham at that point, bringing Chiellini in to mentor some of Spurs’ defenders could prove to be a genius move.
