Tottenham Hotspur are being linked with a potential move for Georgian talent Giorgi Chakvetadze this week. As reported by Marca, Spurs are one of a number of top European clubs keeping tabs on the teenage sensation in recent weeks.
The 19-year-old has been in fine form for Belgian side KAA Gent and that has caught the attention of several clubs. His form this season has seen him rack up four goals and four assists in 20 games for the Belgian side. He has also been excellent for his nation. The teenager has played three times for his country this season and scored in all three games.
Spurs’ interest in the player certainly comes at an interesting time. Tottenham look like they may have a fight on their hands to keep hold of their star midfielder Christian Eriksen.

He has been linked with the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus and PSG in recent weeks. Most recently, it is a £40 million swoop from Real being mooted by The Sun.
Spurs are said to be trying to commit the Dane to a significant new deal at Tottenham. However, talks are said to have stalled with the predictably frugal Tottenham struggling to meet his wage demands.
Tottenham, who snapped up Eriksen for a bargain price from Ajax, would be right to start looking for Eriksen’s replacement.
As the club has witnessed in the past with the likes of Luka Modric and Gareth Bale, there are some teams they cannot hold off.
Perhaps Chakvetadze is the long-term replacement for Tottenham’s great Dane.
