Arsenal fans had more reason to celebrate today as the club confirmed that another Hale End graduate, Jack Hendry-Francis, had put pen to paper on his first contract.

Hendry-Francis is widely regarded as one of the outstanding young midfield talents in the Arsenal academy. Per Mertesacker was on hand to present him with his new deal, as confirmed by the club today.

The teenager has already made an impact with the Gunners at under-23 level. However, a plethora of talent in front of him could mean he spends much of this season with the under-18s.

However, that doesn’t mean Arsenal fans weren’t delighted to hear the news about Henry-Francis. Twitter was awash with comment from Gunners fans, who were delighted with the work that Per Mertesacker is doing.

Along with youngsters like Flo Balogun, Charlie Patino, and Miguel Azeez, it appears the future is bright indeed for the Gunners.
