Gilberto Silva raves about ‘outstanding’ Arsenal starlet during Chelsea win

Arsenal defeated Chelsea 3-1 and in the process restored some optimism among the fan base. Afterwards, Gilberto Silva took to Twitter to heap praise on a particular star.

Bernd Leno saved a penalty from Jorginho in stoppage time as Arsenal stood firm to claim a vital win over Frank Lampard’s team.

Gilberto Silva played 244 times for the Gunners during a six-year spell at the club and became a popular figure among the club’s supporters.

After yesterday’s win, he took to Twitter to rave about the performance of Saka.

Saka looks like becoming a star of the future for Arsenal and the 19-year-old’s goal yesterday was a thing of beauty.

He had Edouard Mendy all ends up as he lofted an effort over his head and into the back of the bet.

Despite his tender years, the young starlet has already played 60 games for the Gunners and he’s once again had a decent campaign.

He has shown the versatility to play in a number of different positions and has been exceptional at times.

Plenty of Arsenal players have underperformed in recent times but Saka isn’t guilty of that.

With the Gunners enduring some tough moments during 2020/21, Arteta would perhaps be wise to place emphasis on the youth.

Players like Saka are the future of the football club and alongside starlets like Emile Smith Rowe, Joe Willock and Gabriel Martinelli, they could bring the good times back to North London.

Gilberto Silva was right to praise Saka yesterday.
