Gilberto Silva predicts Arsenal clash against Burnley on Sunday

Gilberto Silva has told his Invisible Wall podcast that he believes Arsenal will pick up three points on Sunday afternoon when they take on struggling Burnley at The Emirates – with the Gunners boasting an excellent record against Burnley in the past.

Having played 16 times since a 2-0 FA Cup win in January 2008, Arsenal have won 14 of those matches – losing only once and drawing the other. The 0-0 draw did come last time out against Sean Dyche’s side, though.

The Gunners come into the match having last won a Premier League game over a month ago, in the form of a 1-0 win over Manchester United. They are struggling for goals, and it is clear Mikel Arteta is yet to find his best system or team.

However, it is a different story in the Europa League – with Arsenal having won six out of six, finishing with a 4-2 victory over Dundalk on Thursday night. Silva is confident, and has backed his old side to earn a 2-0 win on home soil.

“I need to be positive, I’m going to go for a 2-0 to Arsenal,” Silva said. “Confidence, stay positive. I am always going to be positive. Come on Arsenal. Let’s go back to winning games again.”

TBR’s view – Can Arsenal get back to winning ways?

They need to find the right balance, and get back to scoring goals on a more regular basis. Do you take Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang out after Eddie Nketiah scored on Thursday? Or do you hope Aubameyang scores again and regains his confidence.

It is a tricky dilemma. Hector Bellerin was criticised last time out, and both Cedric Soares and Calum Chambers are now fit – does he need to be replaced? Ainsley Maitland-Niles into midfield? Centre-back partnership?

There are many decisions that still need to be made by Arteta – but the Gunners will win if he gets his decisions right.
