Former Arsenal legend, Gilberto Silva, has lauded the contribution of both Bukayo Saka and Alexandre Lacazette, following the Gunners’ win at Southampton.

The Arsenal pair were in fine form, as they both scored and assisted in the 3-1 win at St Mary’s. Saka, in particular, was in exceptional form as he continued his brilliant run and impact on the team.
Both players cut open the Southampton defence to devastating effect at times. And taking to Twitter, Gilberto picked out the pair as leading by example for the Gunners in their current good run.
Both Lacazette and Saka have seemingly risen to the challenge for Mikel Arteta. The Gunners were struggling for creativity previously and the Gunners boss has moved to bring Martin Odegaard in.
However, the Real Madrid man will have a job getting in as things stand. And it certainly won’t be in place of either Saka or Lacazette if they can continue in this current vein of form.
TBR View: Saka now one of the best youngsters in world football
While Lacazette is impressing and doing well, it is Saka who is really excelling. Everyone knew his talent but in the last month, he’s propelled himself to another level.
Arsenal now have one of the best young players in world football on their hands. If he can continue to develop, there is a potential global superstar in there.
Mikel Arteta will be delighted here. Saka and Lacazette just need to keep doing what they’re doing, and a top four place isn’t out of reach for Arsenal.
