A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to give their thoughts on the FA Cup quarter-final draw, which has handed the Gunners a trip to Sheffield United.

Arsenal will take on the Blades for the third time this season, having lost 1-0 at Bramall Lane under Unai Emery in October and held to a 1-1 draw at the Emirates Stadium under Mikel Arteta in January.

The Gunners booked their spot in the last eight of the competition after claiming a 2-0 victory at Portsmouth on Monday night, courtesy of goals from Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Eddie Nketiah.

United, meanwhile, won 2-1 at Reading the following day, having also seen off AFC Fylde and Millwall in the preceding rounds.

Arsenal and United have plenty of shared history in the FA Cup, having locked horns 13 times in the competition over the years (11v11), including a fifth-round clash in 1999 which was replayed at the request of Arsene Wenger and the Blades in the name of fair play (The Guardian).

The two sides also locked horns in the 2003 semi-finals, a game renowned for David Seaman pulling off arguably one of the greatest saves in the history of the game, superbly clawing out a Paul Peschisolido header from point-blank range.

Here is what some Arsenal fans made of the draw on social media:
