'Getting better and better': Kostas Tsimikas says Liverpool 23-year-old has actually improved so much recently
Liverpool defender Kostas Tsimikas claims that more is to come from Darwin Nunez during his first season at the club.
Nunez’s Liverpool career got off to a faltering start and was not helped by his red card against Crystal Palace, which was a stark introduction to life in the Premier League.
On top of that, Liverpool have not been at their best this term, struggling to deal with the sale of Sadio Mane and finding consistency hard to come by.
But Tsimikas told the Athletic that Nunez has been improving plenty anyway and he can still get even better, banging in the goals for the Reds.

The left-back said: “Darwin is such a talented guy.
“That was clear to all of us when we played Benfica last season. We were very happy when he joined us.
“All players need some time to adapt to a new system and game plan. Even more so for Darwin as he doesn’t speak English, but I’m not worried about him at all.
“He’s going to be a goal machine for us. He’s getting better and better.”
Liverpool have injury problems in attack to Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota, meaning that Darwin should be set for a huge role when the season resumes.
That starts against Manchester City tomorrow and it would be a marker of intent if they could win that EFL Cup tie against Pep Guardiola’s side.
Darwin is still raw but all the noises out of Anfield are that he has all the tools to become a top striker once he is fully settled at Liverpool.
