Leeds United Supporters’ Trust’s vice-chair Graham Hyde spoke about what the club’s new manager Jesse Marsch can expect from the fans following the sacking of Marcelo Bielsa.
The Whites parted ways with Bielsa, who was at the helm for over three years. The Argentine made Leeds a top side again and helped them return to the Premier League after winning the Championship.
Leeds impressed everyone in their first season back and finished just 10 points behind third-place Liverpool, which was an extraordinary achievement considering that most of their squad played in the Championship the season before.
Bielsa is gone and Marsch is now in at Elland Road but Leeds fans will still sing praises of their former boss in the games to come.
Leeds fans will sing about Marcelo Bielsa in Jesse Marsch’s first game
Speaking on The Monday Night Club podcast on BBC 5 Live, Hyde said on behalf of the Leeds United Supporters’ Trust: “In terms of the fans, he (Jesse Marsch) is going to have to get used to the fact that in the first 180 minutes of his life at Leeds, he’s going to hear Marcelo Bielsa sung at him.
“That’s going to happen in the Leicester game away and the home game against Villa.
“In that sense, he has got to get used to that.”

TBR View:
Bielsa is a hero to Leeds United fans and rightly so. The Argentine is arguably the biggest reason why Leeds are in the Premier League today and his brand of football has made them one of the most exciting teams to watch in England.
Yes, Bielsa’s system has received a ton of criticism over the last few weeks but people have to take into consideration the number of important players Leeds have missed this season.
The Whites will be hoping that Marsch can turn things around in the coming weeks. If he doesn’t, questions will be asked about Bielsa’s sacking at the end of this season.
