French club Lille have announced the departure of transfer guru Luis Campos – and some Tottenham fans on Twitter have responded by claiming they would love to see him join them now he’s available.

Lille confirmed on their official website the exit of their head of recruitment 56-year-old Campos.

The Portuguese senior chief has earned a big reputation in football during recent years, as he’s helped to sign and discover some huge talents in Europe.

Fabinho, Anthony Martial, Kylian Mbappe, Bernardo Silva and Nicolas Pepe are just some of the star-studded names that he’s helped to unearth during his time with Monaco and Lille.

The Daily Record reported in October that Spurs manager Jose Mourinho has been keen to get Campos involved at the North London club as part of their recruitment team.

He’s been a football director at Lille and Monaco, as well as previously a scout at Spanish giants Real Madrid.

A selection of Spurs supporters on social media believe that Campos would be an ideal man to come into the North London club to help their development, as they look to become a team under Mourinho that wins silverware.

They’ve recruited well in the past few years and have a very strong squad, but going after Campos would be a real signal of intent that they want to try step forward to the next level.
