Georginio Wijnaldum reacts to what Liverpool star did on Saturday

Georginio Wijnaldum has sent a message on Twitter to Mohamed Salah to congratulate his former Liverpool teammate on scoring 100 Premier League goals for the Reds.

What’s the story?

Liverpool have gone to the top of the Premier League table after Saturday’s clash. However, Brentford held them to a 3-3 draw in the capital.

Brentford did equalise before Curtis Jones scored the game’s fifth goal. But there was one more twist in store, with the home side finding another leveller in the 82nd minute.

It is a monumental effort from the 29-year-old, who has only played 151 times in the league for Liverpool.

Salah is the joint top goalscorer in the Premier League so far this term. And Liverpool are now the team to catch in the very early stages.

It is an incredible achievement from the forward to bring up a century. His worst return in a single season for the club is 19. And he is already a quarter of the way to eclipsing that tally.

It is certainly not going to be the last landmark Salah reaches while on Merseyside.
