'Genuinely gutted': Some Wolves fans react to 'nasty' club announcement
Wolves fans have taken to Twitter to react after the club released the new home shirt ahead of the 2021/22 season.
What’s the story?
Well, Castore have taken the reins from adidas, and their first effort at Molineux is certainly an interesting one.
Judging by the responses below, it hasn’t gone down too well with the Wolves fans on Twitter.
Castore’s design shows two thick black strips, which start on the hips and travel round towards the player’s name and number at the back.
It also has what appears to be holes to help the players’ bodies breathe, located on either side of the ManBetX logo.
Castore have also given the new Wolves shirt a slightly different collar to the one adidas had last season.
Crucially, the colouring is also slightly different. In the photo above, it looks more yellow than gold – one fan below said they’re a big fan of the colour.
New kit, new manager, new era
It’s all change at Molineux.
Nuno Espírito Santo is gone. Adidas are gone, and a new era is beginning in the Midlands.
In our view, Bruno Lage will do a good job.
The Portuguese coach has a wealth of talent in attack, in the likes of Pedro Neto, Adama Traore, Daniel Podence, Francisco Trincao and Raul Jimenez.
It’s certainly an exciting time.
If Lage is backed with one or two more eye-catching signings, there’s no reason why Wolves can’t get back in the Europa League.
For now, let’s see how the Wolves fans on Twitter reacted to the club’s announcement…
Still not buying one whilst we have a gambling company emblazoned across the front. And I am genuinely gutted. Any chance of a limited 'Feed Our Pack' edition without the ManBetX logo? A percentage could go to that fantastic cause. I’d buy one in a heartbeat.— Paul Timmis (@timmistribe) July 15, 2021
bring back adidas 😂 at least they got the colour right 😎 https://t.co/t9NRaBJXof— Sam B (@HonestNorthbank) July 15, 2021
Cheap, nasty. Still the same cost. Not for me.— Daniel Smout (@DanSmout86) July 15, 2021
Might buy the socks though, since the Wolf head is back. https://t.co/3Hgyop383W
Big fan of the colour. However the sponsor/ sleeve sponsor ruin it as always. Looks nicer on the kids version with Silverbug. Replica cheap material? https://t.co/nMt5FRWgN2— Rbeartoe ◣ ◢ (@Rbeartoe) July 15, 2021
socks are catastrophic 😭— benik afobe (@hiermakesmusic) July 15, 2021
