Former Tottenham Hotspur player Gary Stevens reckons Christian Eriksen would be a brilliant signing for Liverpool.
The ex-defender, who represented the club from 1983-1990 and made 147 appearances for the club, was speaking on Stadium Astro following the clash between the two clubs on Sunday.
Eriksen, who didn’t have his finest outing at Anfield, will be out of contract in the summer of 2020, and speculation has been rife that he will depart the club this summer.

It is looking like the player won’t be signing a new deal, meaning it’ll be Tottenham’s last chance of getting some decent money for him.
Stevens said: “I think Liverpool need to sign a player that will get into any side.
“I think Christian Eriksen would be brilliant for Liverpool. He creates things, he makes things happen, gets on the ball and scores goals. And if you look at his stats, he covers the yards.”
TBR’s view
Eriksen is world class on his day and he would be a fantastic addition for Liverpool.
That said, the chances of him actually pitching up at Anfield are unlikely – Spurs surely won’t want to sell to a Premier League rival, especially someone of his quality.
Real Madrid appear to be his most likely destination (AS), Los Blancos have failed miserably this season and Zinedine Zidane is reportedly eyeing a complete overhaul.

The fans would not be able to accept such a deal, even if they commanded a relatively high fee.
According to The Mirror, chairman Daniel Levy has slapped a £130 million asking price on him which would surely rule out any approach from Liverpool.
The Reds will likely be hoping Naby Keita will be the man to bring the creativity next season, with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain also someone who has good technical qualities.
