Gary Neville’s wordless reaction as Liverpool win again and reach the Champions League final
Liverpool have reached the Champions League final after overcoming Villarreal 5-2 on aggregate.
The Reds ran out 2-0 winners in the first leg at Anfield last week.
However, Liverpool risked throwing it all away at El Madrigal on Tuesday night.
Boulaye Dia put the hosts ahead after just three minutes, rifling home from Etienne Capoue’s cutback.

Then, four minutes before the break, Liverpool conceded again and Villarreal were level in the tie.
Capoue crossed and Francis Coquelin rose high above Trent Alexander-Arnold to make it 2-0 on the night.
Sky Sports pundit and Manchester United legend Gary Neville seemed to be enjoying it:
However, Liverpool struck back just after the hour as Fabinho’s effort somehow found its way past Geronimo Tulli.
Then, in the 67th minute, Luis Diaz – a game-changing substitute – equalised for the Reds.
The Colombia international headed home through Tulli’s legs from Alexander-Arnold’s cross to level on the night.
By this point, Liverpool were effectively home and dry, leading 4-2 on aggregate.
And then, in the 74th minute, Liverpool went in front in the game and took their aggregate lead to 5-2.
Naby Keita released Sadio Mane, who duly took the ball around the onrushing Rulli.
He then beat Juan Foyth’s challenge and duly rolled the ball into the empty net.
Here is how Neville reacted on Twitter at full time:
Liverpool will now contest the Champions League final in Paris on May 28.
