Arsenal remain six points behind Liverpool in the Premier League table and have a big job on their hands to get the better of the Reds.
Arsenal were in pursuit of reinforcements up front in the January transfer window in wake of injuries to Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka.
However, the winter transfer window has now slammed shut and Kai Havertz remains the Gunners’ first-choice number nine.
Arsenal looked at a number of options throughout the winter window, although many of them proved to be unobtainable.
For instance, Arsenal tried their luck with a £70million bid for Ollie Watkins, but Aston Villa swiftly rejected their offer.
Now, Gary Neville has given his verdict on Arsenal’s hopes of beating Liverpool to the Premier League title in wake of their failure to sign a striker.

Gary Neville says Arsenal can still beat Liverpool to the Premier League title
Neville, speaking on Sky Sports News on deadline day, said he understands why Arsenal didn’t simply panic buy a striker, given how hard it is to sign a top forward in January.
The pundit also said Arsenal can still win the title, even though he acknowledged it would be a long shot and they Liverpool need to slip up.
“It’s a difficult window to do business in and the type of striker Arsenal need is a significant one and those players aren’t available,” said Neville.
“Ollie Watkins would have hit the ground running at Arsenal. But they are a fantastic team and you need to be world-class to get into that team.
“Who is available? I can see why they are being patient. Liverpool did the same with Martin Zubimendi. Both Arsenal and Liverpool are being run pretty well. They won’t panic.
“Arsenal can still win the title. It’s a long shot but they just need to be there if Liverpool slip up.
“There’s a long way to go yet. Injuries happen to big players in football and the loss of Van Dijk or Salah would disrupt.”
