Declan Rice is going from strength to strength at Arsenal.
The midfielder joined the Gunners for a huge £100m fee in the summer, but, somehow, he’s actually living up to that pricetag.
Indeed, Rice has made a serious impact for Arsenal, and that £100m is now looking like money well spent.
This was a huge coup for Arsenal as the Gunners made a statement signing ahead of their rivals for the first time in a long time.
Traditionally, Arsenal have been outmuscled by many of their Premier League rivals such as Manchester City or Manchester United, but, on this occasion, Arsenal won the race.
Speaking on the Stick To Football Podcast, Gary Neville has been discussing Rice, and he says that Manchester United will be kicking themselves for not signing Rice, claiming that, historically, he’s exactly the type of player the Red Devils would sign.

Man United will be questioning why they didn’t sign Declan Rice
Neville spoke about the midfielder.
“He’ll definitely look at who has signed off against the players who have been signed in the last two or three years. There will be reports there and names who have signed off on players,” Neville said.
“He’ll definitely look at things like the players they have missed out on and what was said about those players as well. Like Diaz going to Liverpool or Declan Rice goes to Arsenal.
“They will look and see what were we saying about Declan Rice.
That historically was a Manchester United player, Declan Rice. The best player in England that was basically at a club like West Ham, United would sign that player.”
Not as appealing
The reality is that a move to Old Trafford isn’t as appealing as a move to the Emirates these days.
Arsenal are a team on the up. They have an exciting young core of players and a fantastic young manager, while, with all due respect, Manchester United have been all over the place for 10 years now, and that doesn’t look like changing anytime soon.
Historically, United would’ve signed a player like Rice with ease, but now, the tables are turning.
Arsenal are on the up as a club, and that means they are now able to make these kinds of signings ahead of other top sides.
