Gary Neville has praised Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus and believes he is the one behind the upturn in form of all the Gunners players.
Jesus was Arsenal’s main summer signing. Mikel Arteta had long sought a new number nine and in the Brazilian, he seems to have got the perfect man for his system. Of course, Jesus didn’t get on the scoresheet last night but he did win the crucial penalty.

And speaking on his weekly podcast on YouTube after the game, Neville believes Jesus has simply improved everyone else at Arsenal since his arrival.
“All of a sudden you put Jesus up there as the link, as the target man, as the person who they can play off and all of a sudden it’s just lit everyone else up. We knew the promise was there, but what Jesus has done is knitted them all together and made them look electric,” Neville said.
“Jesus is a 5ft 10 target man, he backs into people, he holds people off, he pops it off. He’s fantastic. And that is the player that’s changed Arsenal and made those young players even better than they were.”
The Brazilian has impressed Mikel Arteta too, with the Gunners boss recently saying his pressing had changed the entire dynamic of his team.
TBR’s View: Jesus Is The Arsenal Game Changer
Talk about making an impact at your new club. Gabriel Jesus has been nothing short of fantastic since he arrived in the summer and there is a lot to be said about the brilliance of Arsenal’s decision here.
Landing Jesus was seen at the time as a bit of a masterstroke and now, a few months into the season it looks an even better move.
Neville’s praise of Jesus is more than justified and if he is to stay fit, then Arsenal’s title hopes are well and truly alive.
