Manchester United legend Gary Neville has sensationally backed the club to win the Premier League title again before Liverpool do.
The former United and England right-back was speaking on Sky Bet’s The Big Debate.
Liverpool haven’t won the title since the Premier League was formed in 1992, with Neville winning eight titles with the Red Devils during his time as a player.

Now he believes that United aren’t a million miles away from reclaiming their place among Premier League royalty, making an ambitious claim.
He told Sky Bet’s The Big Debate: “Eventually United will stumble upon the right recruitment system, the right recruitment people, they’ll get a great manager – hopefully, that’s Ole – and they’ll start to win again. That’s going to happen.
“I can guarantee you as clear as day, Manchester United will win again. They’ll probably win the league before Liverpool, in my opinion. That’s not being disrespectful, they’ll probably win the league before Liverpool.”
TBR Verdict
Neville spoke with a stern face when offering his take that Manchester United will win the league again before Liverpool.
Surely he can’t genuinely believe that though.

Liverpool are light years ahead of United at this moment in time and Neville seems to be speaking from his heart as opposed to his head.
United finished a staggering 31 points behind Liverpool last season and had to watch on as the Reds claimed their sixth Champions League title too.
Neville has a long-term rivalry with Liverpool stemming from his time as a United player and there is an element of him being on the wind up here.
It would be a remarkable story if United were to win the title before Jurgen Klopp’s side, but frankly, it seems like a pipedream right now.
