Tottenham and England skipper, Harry Kane, has been lauded by Gary Neville, despite recent criticism of his performances for the Three Lions.
Kane has yet to score in the Euros and has, at times, looked a shadow of the player we saw at Spurs last year. Kane scored 23 PL goals and provided 14 assists, completing a memorable personal double.
However, he is being tipped to make a move away from his boyhood club this summer. Manchester City are said to be lying in wait, although it may be next summer that Pep Guardiola’s men make their move.

And speaking on the ITV Football Podcast, former England defender Neville believes Kane has shown the form of his life in the last 12 months.
“Harry Kane delivered last season his best ever season. Forget the goals, his best ever performance I’ve seen was last season. His play dropping in, his hold-up play, his passing, everything about his performance last year was just a different level,” Neville commented.
“You talk about Harry Kane’s contribution. He’s about more than just goals, he’s a target man, someone who can link the play.”
Kane is likely to keep his place in the England team to face Germany next week. The striker, despite his lack of goals, is seen as one of the genuine world-class players Gareth Southgate has.
Gary Neville praises Harry Kane…and rightly so
This notion that England need to not play Harry Kane is a bizarre one. He is world-class on his day. And more often than not, he has those days.
Yes, it’s not quite click as yet this summer. But in this England squad, he plays such a big role that he simply has to play. As Neville says, his game has evolved in the last 12 months.
Further, if England get a chance against Germany, you can guarantee Southgate would want it to fall to Kane.
The Tottenham star is brilliant and Neville, as he so often is, is spot on here.
