Gary Lineker has reacted to a report that Bayern Munich are working on a deal to sign Tottenham’s Harry Kane.
Sky Sports Germany report that the German champions are trying to crack on with a swoop worth between 80 million and 100 million euros.
That is between £69 million and £86 million, with Kane’s contract situation so far unresolved and due to run out in 2024.
It has been reported that Daniel Levy will not consider selling Kane at any price, and he has run contracts down like Christian Eriksen’s before.

Lineker on Kane
The report also says that Bayern bosses are still not sure whether the deal can actually be done, because of the sums of money involved.
Lineker presented the BBC’s coverage of England’s 3-0 win over Wales last night, where Kane started and set up Phil Foden’s goal.
And after that game, he reacted on Twitter to the reported price tag with a jibe about fellow BBC pundit Alan Shearer.
Kane is chasing down Shearer’s record of 260 Premier League goals and if he stays in England for his whole career, he has every chance of beating it.
Obviously, if the last big move of Kane’s career takes him away from these shores, Shearer’s record looks safer for the time being.
Erling Haaland could beat it if he stays in England for the next ten years, but you get the feeling he is a player who wants to sample different leagues across Europe throughout his career.
