Gary Lineker has now heaped praise on Arsenal target Michael Olise following another outstanding display for Crystal Palace.

The 63-year-old made the comments when speaking on The Rest Is Football podcast alongside Alan Shearer and Micah Richards.

So, what did Gary Lineker say about Arsenal target Michael Olise? Let’s take a look…

Gary Lineker hails Arsenal target Michael Olise

Well, it was talkSPORT who claimed that Mikel Arteta and Edu are on red alert after learning about the France U21 international’s £50m release clause.

Olise presumably only made Arsenal all the more interested after netting the winning goal for Crystal Palace in Tuesday’s 3-2 victory over Sheffield United.

It was the Crystal Palace No.7’s sixth Premier League goal of the season in just his tenth appearance – he also has three assists to his name.

Speaking about Olise after Tuesday’s mesmeric performance, Lineker said: “A couple of the best performances we have seen in midweek came from two young Crystal Palace stars, Eze and Olise.

“They are fabulously talented. I had lunch with Steve Parish (Chairman of Crystal Palace) last week actually. He was extolling the virtues of Michael Olise, saying that he thinks he is going to be a very, very special talent and I wouldn’t disagree with him.”

The Londoner is already a special talent – and if he continues on his current trajectory, the bright lights of an elite club such as Real Madrid could even await him in future.

Michael Olise may hold doubts about Arsenal

In our view, Olise – who also received praise from Paul Merson recently – may have some doubts about where he will play at the Emirates Stadium.

The 22-year-old exclusively lines up on the right flank where he cuts inside on his stronger left foot.

That is exactly how Bukayo Saka plays the game, while Arteta also has Gabriel Martinelli on the other flank, so Olise might not see a place for himself in north London – in our view at least.
