Tottenham Hotspur are reeling after being dealt a thrashing in the Champions League against Bayern Munich. The German champions tore Spurs apart in London, eventually running out 7-2 winners.
It was a clinical and devastating display, not helped by Tottenham’s dreadful defending and continual loss of possession in dangerous areas.

Former Tottenham Hotspur and England striker Gary Lineker was watching the game for BT Sport and also made his feelings clear on the performance through his Twitter account.
He highlighted the ‘devastating’ nature of Bayern’s attacking prowess as they became the first-team to score seven goals away to Spurs ever.
Lineker also praised the star man on the night, former Arsenal winger Serge Gnabry. The German international scored four of Bayern’s seven goals as he took full advantage of Serge Aurier’s dreadful performance at right-back.
Lineker suggested that the one consolation Spurs could take from the game, is that Arsenal let Gnabry go in 2016.
Of course, that is not exactly true. Arsenal wanted to keep Gnabry but the youngster pushed through a move to Werder Bremen in order to gain more regular first-team football.
He has since gone on to become one of Europe’s best wingers, something Tottenham were painfully reminded of tonight.
But perhaps Spurs fans can take the slightest consolation from the fact that Arsenal lost such an immense talent back in 2016. However, after tonight, it will probably not do Spurs fans any good.
