Liverpool are taking on Crystal Palace at Anfield this evening as they attempt to get over the line in their hunt for a Premier League title win.

The Reds came into the game off the back of a dull 0-0 draw with rivals Everton and need to get back to winning ways to secure their long-awaited title win.

One of the star players for Liverpool this season has been right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold and it was the England international who gave the Reds the lead.

Jordan Ayew gave away a silly free-kick in shooting distance for the full-back by backing into Virgil van Dijk and the 21-year-old swiftly punished the Ghanaian.

The defender, who has great ability from free-kicks, curled in a sublime right-footed effort that former England captain David Beckham would have been proud of.

It certainly caused a stir online. Match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker quickly took to Twitter to praise the youngster. He dubbed him a ‘superstar’ for the ‘stunning’ free-kick.

It was a perfectly executed free-kick from the player, with shades of his first goal for the club against Hoffenheim back in 2017.

It now seems just a matter of time before Liverpool and Alexander-Arnold, one of the season’s star players, are lifting up the Premier League title.
