Tottenham cruised into the City Ground and took all three points at Nottingham Forest today as they continued their fine start to the season.

Forest put up a good fight in the main but Harry Kane helped himself to two goals despite missing a penalty, while Forest couldn’t quite put one of their half-chances away on the day. For Spurs, it means they keep the pace with the likes of Arsenal and City at the top of the table.

Of course, for Harry Kane, it was yet another milestone hit as he scored his 200th league goal to continue to hunt down Alan Shearer at the very top of the pile. And as usual, former Spurs and England forward Gary Lineker was on hand to shower the England skipper with praise.

Taking to Twitter, Lineker posted about Kane after his second goal, insisting the Tottenham man is ‘relentlessly brilliant’ in his performances.

Kane has had a fine start to the season and is already looking well on course to hit the 20 goal mark this season under the guidance of Antonio Conte.

TBR’s View: Kane Just Craves Goals

Never a man to let something get him down, Kane dusted himself off after missing a penalty and was alive to welcome Richarlison’s brilliant cross to make it 2-0 in the end.

Kane was brilliant in the main today and he is simply a man who just loves scoring goals. The addition of Richarlison is helping him as well, with the Brazilian being a nightmare for defenders whenever he plays.

For Tottenham and Kane, this is a huge season where it feels like some success is close. A trophy, or even a fight for the title isn’t out of the realms of possibility as things stand.
