Gary Lineker sends classy message to Spurs superstar Harry Kane
If there is one thing in football that nobody can doubt, it’s that Gary Lineker oozes class and he’s once again shown that with a tweet to Harry Kane.
The England legend and BBC MOTD presenter often speaks so well. Having played for and watched the Three Lions so much, few are better placed to comment on Gareth Southgate’s side.
Lineker was a superb and regular goalscorer for England. His goals in Mexico 86 and Italia 90 nearly helped the Three Lions to glory. Alas, it was not to be, although he remains the top tournament scorer for his country.
However, current England skipper Kane needs just one goal to surpass that record. His three goals in the last two games, edging him ever nearer to Lineker.
And Lineker, as usual, has been classy in his response.
One thing that links the two players here aside from goals, is their love for Spurs and all things at the club.
Lineker is obviously a huge fan of Kane. He wants him to do well, and by Kane doing well, England have a huge chance of Euro 2020 success.
It is, then, no surprise to see the BBC presenter laud Kane. As always. he seems to have the right words and temprement for such matters.
Kane, then, will be hoping to surpass Lineker come Wednesday evening.
