Gary Lineker hails Heung-min Son for classy celebration

It has been a long week for Heung-min Son. The South Korean was involved in a horrific challenge which saw Everton midfielder Andre Gomes suffer a fractured dislocation of his right ankle.

It was an unfortunate sequence of events which saw a clearly distraught Son sent off, a red card which has since been rescinded.

The Everton midfielder is, fortunately, now out of the hospital and back home after surgery on the injury and Son has been in action for Tottenham in the Champions League tonight.

The popular winger even found the back of the net. He scored Tottenham’s second goal of the game after great work from Tanguy Ndombele and Dele Alli.

Son fired home a vicious left-foot finish and immediately looked down the lens of the nearest camera and made a gesture that looked like an apology.

It is easy to deduce that it was meant as a message to the Everton midfielder and Gary Lineker, who has played for both clubs, expressed his appreciation for the action on Twitter.

This was undoubtedly a moment of class from the Tottenham star. Whilst it will not make up for the injury Gomes suffered there is no better tribute from Son to go out and play his best football whilst the Portuguese midfielder is absent.

Undoubtedly, that is what the Everton man would want and hopefully, Son can continue his form over the weeks and months to come.

On top of that, hopefully, Gomes is back to full fitness as soon as possible.
